No two artists are trying to make the same record. Some songs need room to breathe. Others need grit, weight or a little more energy.

Here are a few records I've had the pleasure of working on.

The details matter.
So does the feeling.

By the time a song reaches the mixing stage, there's usually a lot of thought behind it.

The arrangement, the performances, the sounds you've chosen and the little details that make the song.

My job is to bring those things together. To make space for the important parts, find the balance between clarity and character, and make sure the technical decisions serve the music…

First we talk about the music. The references, the details that matter and the feeling you want the listener to take away. I want to understand your vision before I make a single move.

SHAPE

Then I get to work. I'll bring a fresh perspective to the mix, making decisions that bring the performances together, serve the character of the song and highlight the emotion you've put into it.

REFINE

We listen, discuss and make adjustments. You know your music better than anyone, and your perspective matters. We'll keep refining the mix until we're happy we've got it right.

RELEASE

We make the final refinements, prepare your finished files and get everything ready for release.

Hi, I'm Eliott.

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to sound. I love the tiny details, the happy accidents, and figuring out why moving one little thing can suddenly make an entire song click. But I'm not interested in making things sound impressive just for the sake of it.

The best mix in the world won't mean anything if the song loses the thing that made you fall in love with it in the first place.

Every record is different, and I don't believe in approaching every mix the same way. So I'll ask questions, get to know what you're going for, we'll experiment, make decisions and work through the details together until the record feels right.
